<abstract>Cover GEOLOGY is a digitized version of the DGLS Geologic map of Missouri.</abstract>
<purpose>This coverage was originally created for use in the Vulnerability ofMissouri's Public Drinking Water to Chemical Contamination project (VA)funded by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MDNR).The VA project was implemented in 1991 by MDNR. MDNR's PDWP contractedwith CARES to conduct this assessment. The project is designed to determinewhich, if any, public water supplies are threatened by any chemicals beingtested under the Safe Drinking Water Act.</purpose>
<supplinf>Procedures_Used:The paper map was hand digitized by CARES staff. Attribute data wasentered into the look up table. All attributes (but GENTYPE and PERM) weretaken directly from the map. GENTYPE and PERM were supplied by DGLSpersonnel.
